ED SIDDONS

I’m a reporter at The Bureau of Investigative Journalism. I cover the ways in which the City of London facilitates transnational corruption involving oligarchs, dictators and organised criminals.

I’ve uncovered global criminal conspiracies, former soldiers turned private spies for oligarchs and foreign states, cash-for-access lobbying schemes by tobacco giants, millions in unpaid taxes by private equity-owned retailers, and a series of failings at government bodies. My work has triggered criminal investigations, helped shape government policy, and held powerful institutions to account.

My writing has appeared in the Sunday Times, Observer, 1843, Guardian, Times, BBC, Observer Magazine, Telegraph, Quartz, Newsweek, Independent, i, The New Internationalist, Prospect and other outlets. I have produced investigations for BBC Panorama, Channel 4 Dispatches and ITV Exposure. I trained on the Channel 4 Dispatches Investigative Journalism Scheme.
